What kinds of works are available for free and legal use on the Internet? It’s this question that the #NoWorries campaign seeks to answer, promoting materials that are in the public domain and available through Creative Commons copyright licenses. Campaign is powered by EUIPO.

Music, films, and photographs are just some of the works available for free and legal use – you can disseminate, alter, remix, and use them to create your own works. There’s no need to worry about breaking the law. Like the campaign slogan: “#NoWorries– Completely Legal.” All you need to know is where to find these works, and how to use them. The campaign page contains all the necessary information. There, Internet users can discover how copyright works in the digital world.

The #NoWorries campaign will be inaugurated by a joint performance by Marta Dymek and Klub Komediowy, inspired by the author’s latest book, Jadłonomia po Polsku, a collection of traditional Polish recipes made vegan. During the writing process, Marta Dymek dug through stacks of old cookbooks, all available in the public domain. During the performance, she’ll discuss her methods of creating new recipes and the breadth of her searching, while the Comedy Club will transform her stories into a true cabaret, improvising everything live. The event will take place online, on the Centrum Cyfrowe and Kluby Komediowy Facebook pages, June 25th at 9:00 pm.

That’s not all. As part of the campaign, we are also debuting original photo filters under the hashtag #ZeroWasteCulture. They’ll be available on Instagram starting July. The filters are made of works available in the public domain, sourced from The National Museum in Warsaw and the National Gallery of Denmark. Containing fragments of paintings featuring blooming greenery, they offer any Internet denizen the ability to become part of a summer painting.

Authors Jacek Dehnel and Piotr Tarczyński, as well as Youtubers Rafał Hetman and duo jakbyniepaczeć will also take part in the #NoWorries campaign. Meetings, webinars and interviews with Big Book Festival and Pol’and’Rock Festival, among others, are also part of the plans. On Centrum Cyfrowe’s social media pages, you can already find images and ad spots created from completely free materials sourced from all corners of the Internet – everything comes from the public domain or is available through Creative Commons licenses.
