Which digital policies work for cultural heritage in 2020s? #NoWorries x Communia Salon

What are the effects of digital technologies on the cultural heritage sector, and how should we shape them with appropriate policies? ? The European Commission is currently running consultations on this topic and revisiting an approach established ten years ago ??

We are organising a Communia Salon to discuss the issue with representatives of key stakeholders in this debate ???

Sept 17th | 15:30 pm CET

Key questions we’d like to talk about:
✔ a decade later, how much do we need to change the measures described in the Recommendation?
✔ what is the proper balance of IPR that ensures that we all benefit from digitised cultural heritage? Are the measures included in the new Copyright Directive sufficient?
✔ what policies do we need, moving forward, to ensure access and reuse of digital cultural heritage?

Moderator: Alek Tarkowski

Participants of the debate:
? Paul Keller (Communia / IViR)
? Hessel van Oorschot (Open Nederlands / Tribe of Noise)
? Ariadna Matas (Europeana)
? Brigitte Vézina (Creative Commons)
